I figured out what I was doing wrong with the holo emitter I think I was inadvertently double clicking the icon. So anyway I got it working and it is pretty cool.

I was playing on Tribble last night. To be more specific I was playing Dabo! It is quite addictive. I was playing to get enough gold pressed Latium to buy a holo emitter for my ship which was 40,000 GPL but I ended up winning 140,000 plus! So I did get the holo emitter to make my ship look like a Cardassian Galor class. But when I activate it I get a activation animation but the look of my ship doesn’t change. I am not sure if maybe Tribble did not patch fully or maybe they only works in PvP. I have been looking to see which is the case I can not find any info I may have to brave a post on the form.

STO THOUGHTS

I am not sure if this is part of the last patch or if I have inadvertently changed some thing with my ships configuration or it could just be that I was still doing LT missions and now moved into the LT commander rank missions, but I am finding them a little more difficult. For example the defeat 5 Starfleet squadrons where before I don’t think I even have my shield dented now when I hit the first there light cruisers they actually got my forward shield down! I am not complaining I actually like it I just have to change my tactics and look into upgrading my ships systems.

J’Rodd is half way to his promotion to commander. I have sort of been splitting my play time between Tribble (the test server) and regular server. Most of my time on Tribble is mostly checking out the ascetics. I do want to try some of the PvE stuff. I also did discover my tactical officers cannon ability on Tribble. I really want to check out the ship interiors but they are not up yet. Basically I try to get on Tribble and if I can’t then I sign into the regular server. But with my promotion coming up I think I may just skip the first step and just go straight into the regular server. I am thinking I may be able to get my K’T’inga by Wednesday. I do not get a lot of time to play I have two young children so I generally do not play until they are in bed. I play for an hour then I have to go to be my self as I get up at 5AM, I sometimes I can play for a half hour or so before I have to leave for work, then two days a week I go home and play for an hour before I have to pick up the kids from day care. So that is about 13.5 hours a week it seems like a lot until you break it down like that. Plus I am sure that there are people who put those kinds of hours into the game a day.

RAPTOR

Okay I have changed my Klingon ship to a Raptor. I like the look a little better but with the three forward weapons slots I could but to put in two heavy duty cannons and a quantum torpedo. Plus it has two tactical stations and one is a LT tactical station so I have one of my tactical LT’s with the high yield torpedo ability and he also has increase cannon volley ability the other has the ability to fire of a torpedo spread. It is working out quite well for me. I still want my K’T’inga and am hoping I should have it by the end of the week.
